The Australian Export Awards is comprised of a series of eight State and Territory Export Awards which are managed independently by the relevant state government department or industry body. Winners from each State and Territory are announced at presentation ceremonies held from September through to November with the winners automatically progressing as national finalists to the Australian Export Awards. Winners of the 12 National Categories and the overall 2008 Australian Exporter of the Year will be announced at a National Awards Presentation on Friday 5 December 2008 in Melbourne. The Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon. Kevin Rudd MP, will be Guest of Honour at the dinner. Africa Downunder Conference 4-5 September 2008 Sheraton Hotel, Perth Roger Donnelly, EFIC’s Chief Economist will present at Africa Downunder about a book he has just co-authored with Ben Ford for the Lowy Institute for International Policy: Into Africa: How the resource boom is making Sub-Saharan Africa more important to Australia.
