Browser Standards

Are you finding that when you browse around EFIC.gov.au that the layout and presentation is kind of funny? If this is the case, it is likely that you are using a Web Browser that does not support the standards set out by the World Wide Web Consortium (www.w3.org).

EFIC, by all means, does what it can to conform with the XHTML Transitional specifications. This page has purposely been created without a style sheet, therefore all you will see is the plain information without any presentation or layout.

Building to Standards

EFIC has implemented the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Standards and Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Guidelines for accessible web page design by people with disabilities. The W3C provides an extensive set of criteria, and a site must comply with all Priority 1, 2 and 3 checkpoints to receive the AAA rating.
